Chaparral (creosote bush)
Comfrey (widely sold in the United States as teas, tablets, capsules, tinctures, medicinal poultices, and lotions)
Yohimbe (marketed in a number of products for body building and "enchanced male performance)
Germander (contained in medicinal teas, elixirs and capsules or tablets, either singly or in combination with other herbs, and marketed for the treatment of obesity and to facilitate weight loss)
Willow Bark (used for its analgesic (pain killing))
Vitamin A (well-recognized toxicity when consumed at levels of 25,000 International Units (IU) per day, or higher)
Niacin ( used to help lower cholesterol)
Black Cohash - used for menopausal symptoms
Dandelion - promoted as a liver "detoxifier" but has been associated with liver problems when parasitic infection were caused by contaminated dandelion. Purity can never be assured with these products since there is little regulation.
Echinacea - promoted as a treatment for treat upper respiratory infections
Ephedra - promoted as a weight loss treatment
Ginseng - promoted for memory enhancement and numerous other uses
